GIZ in cooperation with the Electricity and Renewable Energy Authority (EREA) of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Renewables Academy AG (RENAC) will organise a series of webinars for engineers, ideally working engineering firms and consultancy companies on the technical assessment and opportunities of the bioenergy market in Viet Nam.

The webinar series fall within the framework of the “Climate Protection through Sustainable Bioenergy Markets in Viet Nam” (BEM) project, which is implemented by GIZ and the EREA/ MOIT and funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU).
For the BEM project, ENERTEAM takes role of the local technical consultant and cooperates with the international experts team of the project to implement the main following activities:
– To support the capacity development and awareness raising for the provincial DOITs and DARDs in regard to bioenergy development in Vietnam through disseminating the government planning, policies, regulations, guidelines, etc., bioenergy project development; organizing the trainings on bioenergy basics and study tours to the operational bioenergy plants; sharing international experience and lessons learned; and developing and implementing awareness and communication campaigns.
– To support the capacity development for the Vietnamese private sector (potential project investors/ developers and contractors, national energy consultants and service providers, local sectoral associations, etc.,) through conducting the pre-feasibility studies for 3 bioenergy projects; training on bioenergy project development and implementation, environmental impact assessment, etc.,; facilitating sectoral dialogue events; and organizing match-making events and workshops.
– To support the capacity development for the Vietnamese financial institutions in regard to bioenergy project financing through conducting the trainings; supporting banks to set up the criteria for assessing the bankability of bioenergy investment projects; and organizing match-making events to connect the potential project investors/ developers to the banks.
